AI is truly fucking over all kinds of creators and artists. Not really new forms of theft and fraud, but at scale and speed previously unimaginable, with relative ease. Just saw an up and coming musician have all their songs copied, run through ai to remix, batch uploaded to streaming sites, copyright applied and:
Boom, they were flagged and lost the income on their streaming. It was corrected, but fucking Meta took down their post about it for "violating community standards".
#FuckAI
#FuckMeta
@jack_daniel Hey, but corporate profits are soaring!
@flargh and that's what really matters, innit.
@jack_daniel #FuckMeta is perennial. Their community standards are trash.
@jack_daniel yeah, we should all band together to resist genai as a whole. artists, programmers, writers, musicians, journalists and everyone else that is affected

this technology is not ethical and all it does is rot away the rest of humanity we have left in society
@jack_daniel
Will humans be able to free themselves from AI which is rapidly dominating?
@nuwagaba2 Eventually, maybe?
@jack_daniel
This is only possible when the humans realize it when it's not too late. The best way to prevent a prisoner from escaping is by not letting him kniw he's a slave. The majority of the people don't know what's coming their way unless otherwise, they would have done something to reduce their dependency on AI. What can open the yes of the majority of the people towards the danger awaiting them from AI?
@jack_daniel Yeah. Theft at an industrial level. Youtube content ID is vulnerable to scale. Well known, documented, attack. Google doesn’t give AF.
@gimulnautti They may be the worst out of a bunch of miserable players.
@jack_daniel My husband is an extremely talented illustrator and was contracted by Disney to produce work for one of their movie franchises. He would submit countless versions and ideas, but they only paid for one. However, even to this day, all his work that Disney did not approve can be seen in countless products today. And yes he had provisions written in all the submissions, but they do not care.
@blakefox That is truly awful, and also sadly common.
@jack_daniel hoping these tech bro nerdlingers that should have never been let out of the locker they were stuffed in repeatedly in high school get their heads squished like a grape by the robots they create to replace us.
@KnobbyTiresOnly Eloquently stated, I am in complete agreement.
