@richrollgardener It’s not my thing but have you thought about getting some things in the ground and covering with fleece?
@Broadfork Yes, the cabbage, lettuce, and beets will be going in the ground the next day it isn't raining and I don't have to run errands. I have row covers with fleece to use. My onion plants will be arriving in the next few days and that will force my hand anyway...Picture is from last year first week of April showing fleece covered first planting. In 2024 it was 31st of March.
@richrollgardener hoping it improves soon. Are you tracking soil temp for direct seeding or transplants? I've been watching our nighttime air temps for it to be a more consistent 60s F
@kellyromanych This time of year I check soil temps to decide when to put in the transplants of stuff that was started from seed back at the beginning of March. Things like cabbage, lettuce, beets, onions. The direct seeding stuff like carrots, beans, corn will come much later. It will be nearly June before the warm weather stuff goes in (cukes, squash, okra)
