I haven't seen a popular instance for fun-bot accounts since the departure of bots.in.space. Anyone seen a site that caters to that sort of activity? #askFedi

I'm not talking malicious or insidious bots, but rather fun bots that add value to #masto, like @samuelpepys, @_random_cafe etc..

Many instances will allow non-malicious bots, so perhaps I need to just choose a reliable instance and use that.

I have a few fun bots that have been idle since #botsInSpace left the building.

@Russssty … it looks appealing, and seems to host several still-operative bots, though the admin updates stopped a couple of years back. The code version is 4.1, but I suppose for a bot one doesn't need many of the new UI bells and whistles.

Sent a query to the admin about status, but might just see if I can move one of my idle fun bots there. Thx again!

@ottaross I thought about migrating my bots, but I’d rather avoid the effort since dot social remains bot-friendly. There's always room for more fun, so I'm excited to see what new bots show up 😀
