@anon_opin I love how the term "jaywalking" comes from "jay," which was a pretty nasty slur for country folks, akin to "trailer trash," and was popularized by the *automobile industry* as part of their "roads are for cars" push in the early 20th century. It wasn't enough to take over our streets, they had to insult people in the process.
