@moelassus My son is a very accomplished guitar player, as well as a pretty decent luthier (guitar craftsman). I asked him to find me an old acoustic and fix it up and he told me I was better off buying a new entry-level Yamaha. Then everything I read said the same thing. $259 for the one I bought. They even have a $219 model. By all accounts they rival much more expensive guitars.
Seems like a good place to start. Start small and practice. This much we can do.
Exciting - what songs / genres are you interested in playing?
@dtm I’ve still got the guitar I bought 40 years ago. I always said I’d take up playing again, so I took a few lessons last year and I’m trying to keep up the practice. I rewarded myself with a new guitar too 🎸
