Regis Debray wrote a highly influential book called REVOLUTION IN THE REVOLUTION? and argued that Che Guevara's Foco strategy -- an aggressive brew of manipulation, violence, coercive tactics, and rigid marketing of a wildly limited ideology -- was the way to control the messaging. It occurs to me that DNC corporate centrists are now doing this with their character assassination campaigns so that leftist ideas are drowned out by the status quo.
