We got two new colonies - a rescue of sorts - the former beekeeper unfortunately developed an allergy and had to part ways with them. So, now we have five colonies in our suburban yard - it’s gonna get busy this this summer!
We name our colonies by the colors of their hives. The color choices are part aesthetic and part practical - with some consideration to bee color perception. And so yellow and pink will be joining green, blue and purple.

Yes, but they all positive and enjoying the honey we produce. The bees are barely noticeable outside the yard.

@tommyhp That's good to hear.

We've been contemplating of eventually doing a similar setup with one hive in our garden. I just don't want to accidentally piss off the neighbors.
