Hey, Deaf/HoH people - I'm wondering, does it feel silent in your head? Especially if you lost your hearing rather than never had it.

I'm just hoping that if my hearing just goes away altogether, my head will quiet down. It's always so buzzy and loud in there. 😔

@spiegelmama as HoH since I was a kid (and gotten worse), I can say that unfortunately my brain makes up for the lack of understanding external sounds by constantly blabbering nonsense. Some medication helps by lowering my inner volume.

@spiegelmama it is what it is. Most people are just talking out loud to themselves anyways, so it’s pros and cons.

@stojg That is true. Not many people are that worth hearing. But I don't love the buzzing either. I'll live, though.
