I can't explain it but at the age of 33 I've become obsessed with decluttering in case I die abruptly and my wife is left with all my shit. Started selling a bunch of stuff and using the money for experiences and holidays rather than just shit. Feel so much better.

@fesshole 60+ and wish I'd had this insight at 33! “The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning” can be a starting point, but I am finding “Nobody Want's Your Sh*t" to be more approachable. It is a straight-talking - if slightly irreverent - book. Of course the hardest part is the doing…
