LULZ...I checked all options.

@TechBean I figured out that you could do the 12 for a penny deal, and then ask for a “contract fulfillment” form. You would order the next 6 or whatever, but I would find obscure titles they didn’t have in stock, order those, told they were out of stock, owe nothing, but the form still marked your contract obligations complete. I would cancel, and then do it again.
@TechBean Borrowing, recording, and dubbing from the radio. The first album I ever bought with my own money was the soundtrack of The Bodyguard on CD in 1993.

For many years I immediately recorded every new record I bought & listened to the tape to save the vinyl.
