"THEIR spot" reeks of entitlement, as the spot is not theirs, or anybody else's for that matter, but for those who can show that they deserve the spot.

Right there is prima facie evidence that about half of #GOP would fail that test.
The sinister part of this is that because more men voted #Republican in the last elections, they want to give that group an added boost, even if it means throwing half of their constituents under the bus.
