The Vice President’s parents-in-law came to the United States as foreign students, at the University of California.

Even more fundamental is the sense of #entitlement in JD's grievance that you missed.

>> "…for #American kids who want to go to a nice university but can't because their spot was taken by a foreign student."

"THEIR spot" reeks of entitlement, as the spot is not theirs, or anybody else's for that matter, but for those who can show that they deserve the spot.

Has #JDVance looked at test scores of American vs foreign students?

@rameshgupta @cdarwin Worth pointing out anytime (every time) the vice president is mentioned: the party that celebrates deadnaming and insists that people should use the name on their birth certificate is perfectly ok with James Donald Bowman calling himself "JD Vance."

These are not serious people.

#Melania #Trump
#Usha #Vance

Right there is prima facie evidence that about half of #GOP would fail that test.

The sinister part of this is that because more men voted #Republican in the last elections, they want to give that group an added boost, even if it means throwing half of their constituents under the bus.

@cdarwin he would throw his own kids off the ship.
