@hikingdude I know! It's a snap shot from 3 years ago. This year we've been having so much heavy rainfall with a specific storm of high impact (#StormTherese) in the last few weeks that I expect it will be a whole lot more spectacular!
I am definitely looking forward to going back and do that hike again! But first, we need plenty of sunshine to do the magic πππ» heh
(It's *great* to "see" you again, Franz! Hope all is well at your end ... Many thanks for following! ππ»π)
@elsua54 Ohhh! But doesn't "lot of rain" also mean "lot of green" later? Well okay. The storm probably wasn't very good.
Hey what happened to your old account? I was just surprised to see that I don't follow you. It WAS a different account, wasn't it?
Well yes, all fine here. Life became a bit less stressfull and I find more energy doing my usual hobbies again :)
How about you?
@hikingdude Yeah, it definitely means a "lot of green" later, but it was perhaps a bit too much of it! In roughly about 10 days, we had more rain than in nearly 2 years! π³π€―
Bailing water out of the house for over a week wasn't much fun, I tell ya! π
RE: Old account, yeah, deleted all of my online life by mid-December, because I needed to focus on home nursing and care-giving. It's all good now, thank goodness! Slowly resurfacing again, had to create a new account and resume my #Mastodon mojo.
@elsua54 that's good to know. Despite 3 months that were very likely not nice.
You didn't miss anything. Mastodon /fediverse is as usual π
@hikingdude RE: "You didn't miss anything. Mastodon /fediverse is as usual" < Good to know! πππ» heh
This time around I decided to bring my daily photoblogging activities to my Mastodon account vs. Pixelfed. So far, enjoying it a fair bit more than when I had an account at gram.social.
It's going to be interesting to see how things will evolve between my microblogging (Mostly work-related) and photoblogging (Hobbies).
Will it blend? π ππ»
@elsua54 Ahh I know that issue - balancing work-related and photo/hiking-related.
But to me it's the magic of the fediverse: there'S no algorithm punishing me if I don't do something for a month. I do what makes me happy.
I just can say: I'd be happy to see more of your home area!
@hikingdude That, in a nutshell, is why I came back to Mastodon as well, after having deleted everything online and disappear for 3 months. Magic is the right word to describe it, too! ππ»π heh
Many thanks, Franz, for that lovely feedback! Will keep sharing along those snap shots trying to find that balance you mentioned earlier. I'm glad we reconnected, love your snap shots and hiking trips! π€π»π
