Templating has felt like homework for too long in @homeassistant. 😅 So these past weeks I reworked the docs with one goal: make them more approachable. 😃

Every template function now has its own page with real examples. There are learning pages, two step-by-step tutorials.

Live now, first pass, feedback welcome 🙏

@frenck I learn by examples so I really like this. The examples look like isolated parts, I can't find the composition of it all, does it all go into 1 file? Maybe I just can't find it :D

@thijs I'm not sure if I understand what you are missing. There are learning pages, tutorials, snippets on every function page, and common complete use cases everywhere now.

What do you mean with "composition"?

@frenck @homeassistant thank you for this, and everything you do! 🙏🏼
@frenck that looks great! This will help a lot. Thank you.
@frenck @homeassistant thanks so much! This will be really helpful
@frenck @homeassistant is there a good way to debounce template sensor helpers in there?
@everts @homeassistant This documentation I've been writing is about the templating syntax itself, not about the template entities. Sorry!
@frenck @homeassistant This is great. I love templating. I use it a lot. Though lately I have gotten lazy and have have Claude create them for me. :)
@GavinCampbell @homeassistant those tools help tremendously! But… also these tools needs great docs to function properly! So hopefully they pick up these changes in the upcoming months :)
