Trump’s time is running out.

Without congressional approval, Trump chose to attack Iran on February 28. This means Trump has 60 days to complete his unauthorized military action in Iran as defined in the U.S. War Powers Resolution of 1973.

February 28 plus 60 days sets the deadline to April 29.

This means, Trump has 24 days left. Obviously, a criminal president will not pay attention to this, but since the war is so unpopular, Congress could use the deadline to force an end to the Iran mess.

@randahl The majority of Congress are also submissive toadies of Trump. I haven’t seen any real public pushback by individual GOP reps, much less any organized Congressional opposition.

@randahl naturally, Law is only more than just ink on paper IF and only if people actually stand up for it to be upheld, AND enforce it.

You're right, TFG doesn't care for laws. And, our Congress is currently made up of a majority of his ass-kissing MAGA fellow criminals, as well as in all the Administration departments.

Nobody cares about Trump, they care about the Generals, because the Generals are liable if they continue the war, for Trump it doesn't matter he knows he is done.
The Generals has to obey the constitution either they are all liable when the Democrats return in House and Senate.

@randahl it frustrates me to see you make the same mistakes as so many others.

His time isn't running out, because he doesn't CARE about congressional apptoval, and NO ONE IS HOLDING HIM ACCOUNTABLE!

Until he is hauled away in chains and all of his support network (including the SCOTUS) suffer the same fate, it is IRRELEVANT!

And I haven'y even started ranting about people commenting on what he's doing to the economy, as if that matters.

@randahl By my count the 3 Republican House members and 2 Senators from Kansas alone would have been sufficient in March to bring the vote in each house down to 1 needed in order to stop Trump’s illegal, costly, and unwise war against Iran. I’ll remind them that they and just 2 other GOP coward colleagues could have saved Billion$ and thousands of lives. Also maybe post their names on gas pumps here. Anyone else have a local politicians needing some gas pump publicity?

Trump pulling out US forces will not magically reopen Hormuz, stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, keep Israel from bombing or bring peace to the other Gulf states.

Perhaps Congress can force an end to US involvement, but they cannot "force an end to the Iran mess". That can of worms is already all over the floor.
