@rl_dane one of the first things I did when I started to learn Esperanto, was to build an Anki deck specifically for the correlative table, with tags.

Then I built custom study decks for specific tags. One for beginnings. One for endings. One for each "idea", like 'location'

Worked very well. For me.

@Skolpaddawan

I downloaded some anki cards, but it's a bit too much for me right now 😄

I'm having good luck with Duolingo, and conversing with folks in #Esperanto on https://esperanto.masto.host/

esperanto.masto.host

This is an Esperanto-speaking instance, users are expected to toot in Esperanto. There are a million other instances to create your account if you intend to toot in English or any other language.

@rl_dane same.... Mostly doing Duolingo, but taking all the new vocab it presents and making anki cards to study with.

I was trying to ALSO do Lernu, and some other resources, but found that they all use totally different vocab, and I couldn't keep up. So now I'm duo only. I'll move to Lernu when I finish. Esperanto12 after that.

@Skolpaddawan

I'm also reading La Sankta Biblia on #KOReader on my phone, and I have the #Esperanto dictionary installed. That's a pretty great combo.

Of you have an Esperanto e-book you'd like to read, KOReader makes it easy to look up definitions.

I also have a copy of [ESPDIC.txt] on all my machines, including my phone, and a simple shell function to grep it from the command line.

(Friend me, if you'd like. I'm just "RL" there)

@rl_dane I haven't heard of those, nor do I have any any Esperanto ebooks
!

My goal, eventually, is to read "the Hobbit"

And some where along the line, I'd like to do a translation of "Frog and Toad are Friends"

But I'm nowhere near yet
