I used to be a translator (a long time ago). I'm no longer in that line of work, but friends still ask me for recommendations when they need a translator.

@ShaulaEvans Got English degree in University 10+ years ago. Never got into working as translator professionally. Mostly due speaking Russian (native) and English while none of Romanian (local/government).
Never attempted to freelance as well, so all my education is mostly for self serving purpose and deeper understanding of English and Russian as well, because language is a topic with lots of nuances and cultural colours.
So always getting fascinated with translation work and problems but never experienced from professional point of view.
Would love to do some low pressure translation work just to flex my language muscles.
