I'm sorry to over generalize, but as soon as guys with beards started taking over IT departments, even HW engineering, it was the beginning of the end.
With very pew exceptions, tech guys should not have beards. It makes no sense. Gun guys have beards. Musicians from Texas. Bin Laden. Not real tech people. It's just wrong, and a sign of evil.
