#workoutoftheday #urbantrail #lille

This evening I did the urban trail in Lille with my son. It's a mix of #walking and #running for 9 km, while visiting historic and public buildings. Inside the buildings there are shows, concerts and challenges. And a lot of stairs!

Posting some pics below. We had so much fun!

@s1m0n4 What is the beautiful architecture place?

Also, why did we as a society stop making beautiful buildings?

@catzilla I fell in love with Lille old city center too the first time I saw it.

It's Lille Grand Place, typical Flemish architecture. You can find it in Belgium and Northern France

@s1m0n4 It’s so beautiful. I have never been to France nor Belgium.

When I visit France I may do a quick stop in Lille because it looks gorgeous!

@s1m0n4 Brazil, but especially Rio imported a lot of French architecture because the Portuguese Royal family was into it in the 1800s

We don’t have that style here in Anglophone Canada, it’s very British Victorian.

Québec, on the other hand, has it, because, again, the French. I love it. One of the reasons I am always delighted when I visit Montréal.

@catzilla There must be so much too see in Canada! I recently saw a K-drama with some scenes in Banff and Lake Louise. It's absolutely stunning! I immediately checked out how much a flight would cost and sadly we can't afford it for the whole family at the moment.
