Back in the day, Coal Cracker Houses in Pennsylvania perched over the openings of Anthracite Coal mines, exploited child labor to sort shards of Coal. Chocking dust so thick it blocked out the light & suffocated the lungs of all those that processed it.

@valkyrie the answer to all of those problems starts with a working knowledge of chemistry, specifically nitrate chemistry and its many and various uses.
There's a reason every state power apparatus starts at an ammonia plant.

I think instead of we to have a culture and systems that are resilient even when these people exist. But, maybe that is doe-eyed on my part, if the size and portability of ever more _potentially_ destructive technology continues.
