@jk to be fair that was the first era of psychedelic/prog rock, and electric harpsichords were around since 1761- invented by a Jesuit priest - it looks like there was a good chance of getting a strong (but not lethal) electric shock from this instrument which was probably why the Jesuits liked it - my late father went to a Jesuit 6th form college in Singapore, which shaped his musical tastes (including the bagpipes, and Volksmusik)
