@Lizette603_23 The relevant portion is this: “Punctuation that is part of the quoted text should appear inside the quotation marks. Commas and periods that are not part of the quoted text should also appear inside the quotation marks."

This is also what the Blue Book and the Chicago Manual of Style say. This is contrary to the UK convention. But we are in the U.S.
