Aaaah. Desk reject (with note to pass on to new sister journal) - a couple of days short of 2 weeks. Oh well, at least it was relatively quick. Hopefully my grad student (his first manuscript) will take it ok. I know this is good/useful work so hmmm might send it someplace...higher; we'll see.

@stevegis_ssg It's somewhat ok (though I was hopeful after week 1 that it might have gone for review). It's been 15+ years, but a desk reject after 6 weeks when I was an assistant prof - that's left a scar
