Rebecca Bredin@onni I can’t speak for the whole community but from what I’ve seen, there is a massive amount of appreciation in the show because it shows that autism IS a spectrum and people with autism are people who want the same thing as everyone else: community, love and respect. I haven’t seen the show myself because I won’t pay for Netflix but I’d like to watch it one day.
@RebeccaBredin thanks for sharing your opinion! I really love how the show portrayes autistic people in communication with their closest humans (family, friends, flatmates). It's terrific to see how some communication issues are common and how some groups adapt to that.
They portray family members being caring and accepting of the personality traits that are not common or prob easy to handle (as a neurotypical person) and I wish for everyone on the spectrum to have that love and support💕
