Recycle bin confusion still reins here. I've only put one out but a large majority of the road have put both out. All this because the local council can't update their own online bin calendar.

@lionelb No doubt. It's a Crapita affair. I cannot tell you the palava logging in to pay council tax. They use a third party ID authenticator app that doesn't work.

My God, yes, Capita payment portals are Hell on Earth. If it's any consolation, I can tell you that in my experience, the back end of the Capita council tax system was a hundred times worse.

I'd forgotten that Civica's Estore council tax payments interface is as horrible as Capita's. (Basically it's an online retail interface circa 2008 with less useful information about the customer journey). It's almost as if having an oligopoly of local government systems providers doesn't provide consumer excellence.

@Stevenheywood @lionelb I shudder to think what councils pay for such barely adequate interfaces and do so mostly because the tendering rules favour companies like Crapita and hardly anyone else.
