A strange hypothetical, I know, but I've been thinking: I love planes - Wouldn't it be awesome to own a private jet? Maybe even one with gold fixtures!

It'd cost so much to operate though... That's "multiple homes" money. Not to mention the environmental impact! I could never.

@emilyyoung Does it have to be a jet? Why not just a single engine, twin or quad seater? Plenty of fun to be had, minimal cost (in comparison to a jet). And you get to learn to fly yourself instead of paying someone to have all the fun!

Like even a private plane is limited by where it can go (need a landing strip). A boat, you float. ⛵

A boat should be way cheaper than owning beachfront property. You will have to rent a dock, but that has to be far cheaper than renting space to store a plane. 😅

@emilyyoung it feels like to me handing fresh ammunition to all those that dislike LTT 😅.

@emilyyoung Its a pity that instead of shooting in the real offenders (like big tech) we are shooting in our own ranks. I don't like that some people have private jets, zero care for environment and stuff, but Linus bought it clearly for the purpose of creating entertainment videos and he is not even gonna keep it. I know he is gonna use it in the mean time, I am not naive, but man just be happy for the guy.

The intense pulling up the ladder energy has been evident for a number of years.
I’m not saying not to post it, just idly musing on what we, as a society, allow people to do.
