Guess I decided it was time to try my hand at a ’55 Chrysler #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale #volvo
Sometimes I try to take shortcuts, and realize the extra effort to do it right will make a difference. Case in point, I initially tried to get around giving this grille its full texture, but it just didn't look right. Going back and adding that detail took this from "weird AI-generated ’50s GMC" to Volvo 122S—worth the time it took. #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale
We're at the inevitable point where I think, "How am I going to connect these dots?" Always seems to happen, though! #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale
Bit of detailing left to do, but I've made it to a complete outer body shell. #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale
Volvo body, base, and wheels are mostly complete, although there will be some detailing to do on the inside of the body once I complete the interior. #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale
Li'l Volvo update. I've just mirrored the body, so it still needs the instrument cluster and steering wheel added on the inside, and the gas cap on the outside; then it will be done. #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale

Done!

Back when I had a Shapeways shop, I released new cars in themed batches of four. I don't sell anymore, but starting with my 100th car, I'm going back to doing groups of four, if only to give myself a printing cadence. This being no. 104, it's the first in what will be my second new grouping. What will the theme be? Who knows! (Well, I do...the rest of you will just have to wait and see.) #WeirdCarMastodon #164scale
