The photos coming back from the Artemis 2 moon mission are pretty fabulous

there haven't been any photos of the whole earth from this perspective taken by humans for over fifty years

@clive Heard them talk about some photos they just took of the moon a few minutes ago on the live stream. Can't wait for those!

@jesse_cail

I heard that on the live stream too!

@clive so lovely!! What a perspective...
@clive humans took the pictures that were returned by robotic missions; the execution was just different
@clive I really want to place a hateful comment here that this is the home of all of us and it’s being trashed by the same group of people that took the picture. You know the type of response right? With cursing and yelling and all.
Then I realized that it wouldn’t help a thing. All I wanted to transfer is that this is it, a picture of were we all live and there is no alternative in the neighborhood.
@clive It’s beautiful. Pretty strong aurora on there!
@clive the robots took some good pictures tho. Did you see the eclipse shadow or the lunar transit ones by https://epic.gsfc.nasa.gov ?

@carlana

That one’s great — thank you, I hadn’t seen it!
