I’m not happy with this piece, but I wanted to try something quick and ended up learning about the compositor in Blender from this. I saw an image here of a simple cabin in the woods and wanted to try to recreate something like that. There were a lot more details on the cabin than mine have, but I’m ready to move on to something else.

Maybe it’s that last 10-20% that makes things look really good, but I often feel discouraged that I don’t/can’t get there or push past that in the time I have or want to spend on a project.

Thanks for that. It's not quite the image I had in my head, but it is what it is. I feel like it's a balance of learning from the experience and not repeating past mistakes.

To me, reviewing some previous works that I used with a separate compositor like GIMP, those images shown much better than the ones only comped in Blender.
@Wanderingwolf yeah. I can see what you mean. Sometimes, touching up renders with image editors can get you closer to what's in your head.
