and I also drew this comic instead of doing them :'D

@felisrandomis If you have all your documents ready, just drop them off at a tax preparer and come back when they call and let you know they're ready.

Bring your Social Security card and make sure you have your tax pin if you have one. (you will know, or you can go onto IRS.gov (not recommended, unless you like being verified over webcam) if you want to start having 2FA on your taxes.

I don't know why most people don't just drop them off. It takes a few minutes, and it's better than just staring at the tax preparer while they do data input.

when you come back, you sign for them and pay and get a big pile of paperwork back.

@MontgomeryGator @felisrandomis “Three… hundred… fifty… dollars… lahy-tare…” (SpongeBob SquarePants narrator)

(Honestly worth every penny just want to budget ahead for it. Mine is probably on the high side.)

@DeltaWye @felisrandomis this is true, but you also have some liability shielding if a preparer did it as well as knowing it was done well... and some of the software do it yourself solutions have some... quirks.

I did a self-prepare software that told me I owed $3K, I then took it to a person who instead was getting a $1K return so I don't trust myself anymore.

@MontgomeryGator @felisrandomis That is true. Also my preparer is basically a CPA and they stand by their work. I can see them face to face, talk on the phone, etc.

To me that totally warrants the cost. It’s extremely good value for money.

@felisrandomis I wish I would do all that when procrastinating, I tend to just bedrot ;_;
@felisrandomis it will never not baffle me how the US is pretty much the only western country where you have to manually do your taxes...
@felisrandomis *looks at the mess in his flat*
Damn... I've already done my taxes...
And I forgot what I was procrastinating on while doing the taxes...
@felisrandomis This is so funny and well drawn :3
@felisrandomis at least everything is clean now...
@felisrandomis As a European, i can't relate.
@felisrandomis that reminds me of something...
@felisrandomis I thought I was the only one who did this... you can rank how much I hate doing different things by the order in which I'll do each of them to avoid doing the next.
