I'm still on the hunt for bird-in-redbud photos. The photo of the downy woodpecker was taken during one of the few sunny moments yesterday.

Bonus: Chivalry is not dead! The male cardinal was finding seeds under the feeder to bring to the female. (A bit blurry because of cloudy, rainy conditions.)

They definitely are fine birds. We're lucky to have them year round. The male is about the brightest-colored bird we have. But the female's color scheme is probably my favorite.
