Squeee! As part of the Tree Festival, my little city is giving away free trees for the garden! I've submitted my application for five indigenous and locally grown trees – I did pause on the question, 'Do you have space in your garden for these trees?'

Surely I can find a spot for them...

@redcrew It's a lucky dip – you put in an application and they just give you an assortment. But I'm a fan of most (OK, let's face it, all) of the local groundcovers and trees and shrubs so whatever I get, I'll be happy! Most likely, they'll be something to provide food or habitat for the local wildlife. Exciting!
