Democrats should lead with this quote in every ad and at every Town Hall for the next two years. They should post it everywhere.

@IanHill

Why? How fing dense is the average American voter that they would have to be convinced that the GOP is absolute trash?

If you think you're going to change the minds of the ideologically captured MAGA or both sides are the same leftists, I don't see that happening.

@HakeemG I just have to believe that the "ideologically captured" still aren't seeing enough to join the dots to understand how their own futures are impacted. Plus I'd primarily target the millions who didn't cast a vote.

@IanHill

I think the Democrats should continue to govern as efficiently as they can and the American people are the ones that need to act. They need to get their collective heads out of their collective asses and make better choices.

The Democrats are a political party not a daycare.

@HakeemG sadly getting the "American people.....to get their collective heads out of their collective asses and make better choices." is going to need to be nudged along more forcefully than we have managed to date.

@IanHill

I don't think that's how cults work. In fact I think trying to deprogram cult members can actually backfire. I'm certainly not an expert on this, but I can't imagine the Democrats are either.

@HakeemG @IanHill Actually I think it would help if they started to govern well. The democratic base is a mix of pissed and depressed that the democratic party isn't doing their jobs. It's actually costing votes!

@Epic_Null @IanHill

I think it would help if you actually looked at how well they have governed instead of regurgitating do nothing leftist both sides are the same talking points. If you think you can do a better job, step on up and run for office, but save that propaganda for the imbeciles.

As much as I despise Mamdani for helping Trump get elected, at least he put his ideas and beliefs to the test. I'll give him credit for that one.

@HakeemG @IanHill Mamdani is actually an exception in my book. He got in there and is attacking the problems of New York quite aggressively. AOC and Bernie Sanders are in that bucket as well. It's why these specific politicians attracted so much attention to begin with - they were refreshingly driven to address the problems that bother people.

But where things slow down, they really slow down. California is not holding our tech companies accountable, for example.

The talk of "moving to the center" does not help when the party is already more conservative than the base would like.

@Epic_Null @IanHill

The party is exactly where primary voters put them. The idea that they are more conservative or liberal is just an opinion. The fact is the primaries decide where the party lands.
