@dirkdierickx zilog stopped production, but there are other, z80-compatible chips from different vendors. they still should be stocked. i got my from jameco.com, made by stmicro.

@dirkdierickx also, as a curiosity: ez80 also from zilog has compatibility mode with z80, comes in multiple, different packages but is much faster. don't get me wrong, other options are cool too!

@fmn yeah, i know z80 is not 'dead'. This is just another option and open source, so i found it worth sharing.
