CarbonIceDragonA failed state doesn’t just imply the fall of a government, it refers to a degradation of the conditions of a country such that effective governance by anyone is impossible for a period. Think like has happened in Somalia, or Haiti. I’m not going to claim that the Iranian government is a particularly admirable one, but that kind of condition would be even worse for the people living there, and the chances of that process resting in something significantly better when the country finally recovers again aren’t terribly high.
TBH I think even total anarchy, with roving bands of raiders, might be better than a country that wages war on every neighbor and kills thousands of protestors in a short time period. The fact that they ally themselves with China is just more on the pile.

Sexual abuse of children and lack of consequences is a historic, ongoing, and deep seated pattern of behaviour from the American state.
You can try to point out a few bad things other states do, but ultimately the US has done more and worse for longer. The US is the most evil country around and its citizens eat up the propaganda that they’re good.
I literally just oulined how the bad thing that people get put in prison for in the USA is perfectly legal in those other states. The USA isn’t the worst by a longshot.
Iran backs and funds the Hamas (an internationally recognized terrorist organization), and Hezbollah (an internationally recognized terrorist organization), the Houthi rebels (an internationally recognized terrorist organization) and the iraqi separatist groups (…you guessed it). They have spent trillions of $ fostering violence in attempts to destabilize the entire Middle East, not just Israel. It’s no coincidence that they are also attacking almost every other Arab country in the Middle East right now.
