So I've installed #vivaldi and there are definitely things I like about it (though I can't get it to set Kagi as the default search engine on new pages). On the other hand, I've been a loyal #mozilla #firefox user for years. I'm really curious what people on here think about the merits of the one vs the other. #browsers

@thecasualcritic

With one exception (so far) they are very similar in the way that they work.

I've deleted Google and Opera, won't use EDGE, and have only kept Firefox in reserve.

Vivaldi doesn't seem to interface well with GD under PHP, but that's a minor annoyance in terms of general usage. (More annoying because I use GD on my website to create a "homemade" Captcha).

I'm sure it will get better and I look forward to continuing to enjoy the functionality without pop-ups, ads, etc.

@thecasualcritic Vivaldi is a Chromium browser, which means it ships Google's vision of the web (and is exposed to attacks like the LinkedIn one that is being reported out now).

I think that's a bad idea.
