Tomography of magnetic field strength in my latest favourite cluster of galaxies simulated with ENZO and constrained transport, the scanned region is approximately (2 Mpc)^3.

I am constantly trying to step out of the world of clusters of galaxies, but they keep looking very nice from the point of view of simulations!

@franco_vazza what is the intensity of the magnetic field? Could it move a compass towards anywhere specific?

@bkim the scale in the colorbar is in Gauss, so we are speaking of a millionth of a Gauss or less in this plasma. Which also means a magnetic filed a millionth of the Earth magnetic field at the surface, you one needs a very very very sensitive compass to measure it!
