The last few weeks have seen warm melting days, numerous snowfalls, solid freezing days- spring weather! The first few days of spring were not warm or sunny but we did have some fun clouds and pretty #frost and #light! #commute #Alberta #Canada #landscape #photography #weather
more views from the same couple of days, driving to work; a mix of melting days + new snow (again today) but this is the time of year when we get ditches and fields full of water- love it :)

@cohanf Lovely photos. It's like everything got a frosting. Very beautiful. At first I was a bit surprised because with the unseasonal heat here recently, it hasn't felt as though it’s only the beginning of Spring. Cooler now, mind you, but still quite warm. Andy (my tortoise) is out and about already. It was cold last night, mind you, with a low around 9C. But it's 29C today, so hardly early Spring weather. I long for more cool/cold weather still. We hardly had any this year. This is so odd.
@jeannotpepino did you get decent rain over winter? At least Andy is happy..lol We've been up and down over the season- some long dryish above average spells earlier on. March tended to be below average a lot (some above spells, but shorter) and more snow in the last month than some mid-winter months. It can be a bit of a drag, but after a dry autumn, the moisture is good- good for the soil and plants and good for early fire risk (not so much locally). The coming week looks wet/snowy again..
@cohanf We got a couple of good storms during the holidays, then maybe a good couple more. But then it was dry and warm. Then hot. I think we’re below normal rain-wise but I’m just winging it. Possible thunderstorms a couple days later this week…
@jeannotpepino There was a news story tonight about a fast moving wildfire in California, but I didn't catch the area... so already starting :(
@cohanf I've been noticing the light coming from the north in the morning 🌄
@sunumbral from all the way up here north? lol- shining off the snow...lol
