@darfplatypus shit forbid they just use any standard authenticator app instead of dogshit id.me that requires a live picture of documents and my face. had to do this for absolutely zero reason a few weeks ago.. they just had to "make sure it was me"

@darfplatypus i had to renew my DL recently and since my passport was expired had to use a naturalization certificate. because the rules every agency uses for what "your real name" is aren't uniform, i now have three additional AKAs to deal with. my SS, DL, INS, and Passport names are all different.
how many ways can you spell 'Dan'? and why does country of origin matter for naming rules and ONLY ONE gov't agency forces a middle name on me when i've never, ever had one?
