Wishing I could have the 5000-character limit of this Akkoma instance and the mute and auto-delete nuance of Mastodon.

I won’t go back to a 500-character limit, and I don’t want to unfollow some of the very sharp thinkers I’m following now, but I really need to mute some of y’all for a time because goddam is my mental health suffering. Unfortunately, Akkoma only allows Mute/Unmute with no timer.

Guess I’ll just have to do that work manually for now, but if the Fedigods are listening . . . 🙏

Huh.

It seems that, unlike Mastodon and more like Sharkey, I can add accounts to lists without following them.

So maybe I’ll have to create a list for all my favorite analysts and then unfollow them after all. Then I can just click into the list feed when I have the spoons to deal with real-world awfulness rather than the smut and porn that fills my dark little heart with joy.

I’ll have to think about this 🤔
