D. Moonfire@cobalt123 I have a twenty-four hour clock set up by my office door (next to a picture of the accelerator at Argonne National Laboratories, if you are curious about the photo).
@dmoonfire these treasures are just priceless! I remember when nerds wanted to have so much detail and time details on their clock or watch. And that photo with the many notes of congratulations written by colleagues is a special keepsake!
@cobalt123 I spent a lot of tim, trying to find 24-hour watches and clocks... it's my thing.
The notes and signatures were to my dad who helped design and maintain the APS ring at Argonne. Next to it is one of his illustrations of the Tomak nuclear reactor he helped design during my early years.
They are both precious to me. :P
@dmoonfire I am thinking you had a very enriched childhood going by your adult interests. Maybe your parents had a very interesting social circle too. Fascinating!
My father also had an important role in the community I grew up in and part of the history for that area near Chicago. I retain many memories that most people would never think about.
