It’s got a bit of a whimsical musical theatre quality with a trippy #60s psych twist.

Think of a lighter, more theatrical Odyssey and Oracle, maybe?

I don’t know man.

Whatever it is, I find it charming and kinda cool.

A legendary band for me, & another horrifically underrated act of the #90s .

This record (& the band in general) is mostly remembered for the novel “I Got A Girl”, but the album (& band) was much deeper & complex than that one quirky, lucky hit.

Super #psychedelic guitars, wonderful melodies, & an incredible live act.

To this day, they’re still one of the greatest live shows I’ve ever seen.

Back in 1995, local #ProvidenceRI station 95.5 WBRU threw their “Birthday Bash”; 16 artists across 3 RI venues over one weekend, featuring the likes of Blind Melon, Belly, Supergrass, Shudder To Think, Tripping Daisy, Paw, and Ben Folds Five to name just a few.

What I saw Tripping Daisy do that weekend blew my mind. I had been a fan of them since their 1st record Bill, but was NOT expecting that.
Amazing band.
Great record.

Another beautiful day on the island calls for some bright, note-perfect #powerpop .

One of the most underrated records of the #90s , & band I saw live several times back in the day, due to them being from #ProvidenceRI .

#BostonMassachusetts was 60 mins in one direction, Providence an hour the other way. I was super lucky in that I got to experience the best of both cities on numerous occasions.

I fell in love with the likes of Velvet Crush and Six Finger Satellite via the abundant live experiences, and was already well seasoned before their now classic records ever came out.

This album is front-to-back stellar. One pristine gem of a power-pop song after another. It reminds me of all those nights in Providence going to Lupo’s and The Strand, seeing everybody and anybody playing a show there, locally and nationally.
