but no... staring at a black screen for 5 min already after hitting ctrl-alt-del
at least dell and supermicro have the fucking courtesy to show something on screen while the hardware initializes

Rusty ShacklefordNo way! After so long I kind of assumed a bad drive was borking POST. I have had a couple mysterious misbehaviors among the batches of drives here that when plugged in just fuck the entire system. No reason, no warning, nothing. Hot swap into a live system and instant freeze up. I'll have to dig around and see if I still have those around. Headaches!
