I carry a handcuff key on my EDC keyring. You should too. Bonus points for the beltloop emergency key... for emergencies.

Set your compose box to allow advanced content types, and select markdown, then you too can be fancy with:

**bold**
*italics*
_underline_
`single line code`
```multi line code```
>block quote
^superscript
~~strikeout~~
# h1
## h2
### h3
#### h4
##### h5
1. testing
* testing
* unordered
* list
2. ordered
3. list
Thank you to https://pawb.social/post/1210978 for posting these, as nowhere else had a nice list like the above.
Markdown 101: Your guide to markdown in pawb.social mastodon instances - Pawb.Social
As you may or may not have heard, the latest update to pawb.social saw pawb.fun and furry.engineer updated to use the glitch-soc fork of mastodon! That has given us a bunch of new tools to play with. Including the ability to use markdown in our posts. This post will be a quick howto guide. First, how to even use it in the first place. You will need to click the cog, which will now bring you to this screen: [https://pawb.social/pictrs/image/b193d224-8c1c-4185-bdce-9255d0877c4f.png] Go to show content-type choice when authoring toots, and turn that on. You will then see a screen that looks similar to this: [https://pawb.social/pictrs/image/f30f06b8-d1cb-4fb1-a71b-8fe962fded00.png] You can either select plain text to write a post as you’re used to, you can use HTML if you know that, or you can use Markdown and take advantage of all of these: **bold** *italics* _underline_ `single line code`multi line code>block quote ^superscript ~~strikeout~~ # h1 ## h2 ### h3 #### h4 ##### h5 1. testing * testing * unordered * list 2. ordered 3. list bold italics underline single line code multi line code >block quote superscript strikeout # h1 ## h2 ### h3 #### h4 ##### h5 1. testing * testing * unordered * list 2. ordered 3. list (NOTE: if you are going to mix and match ordered and unordered lists, indenting is MANDATORY, otherwise the markdown will just assume everything is supposed to be in the same format as the first list item. So if you start with an asterisk, it will assume everything needs a bullet. If you start with 1, it will assume everything is supposed to be ordered.) Markdown can also support a limited range of HTML tags. One example is as follows: <abbr title="some text">text</abbr> We will leave that for you to discover however. And that’s pretty much everything! If you trip across another markdown tag that is supported, or find something that might not be accurate, feel free to relay it to us! Reminder this markdown will work ONLY if you specifically select Markdown as a content-type
the sharkfin may not be the only antenna in the car. To get reliable AM radio reception, you need antenna length. Sometimes there is an antenna disguised as a defroster line on the back glass too.
Oh this is evil
re photo and video storage:
old and busted - glacier tier or tape storage
new hotness - text based ai summaries of photos and videos used to recreate them as needed.
If I can't right click or command click on links on your webpage and open them in a new browser tab then your page is, IMO, garbage. This goes double if your page is listing of security advisories which results in me having to open each one, copy the URL, open in a new tab, paste the URL, hit enter, switch back to the prior tab, hit back, select the next advisory, etc. etc.
I'm about to start blocking people posting AI images too.
Too many emojis, BLOCKED.
