Holy shit bro, Bondi out.
Trump's administration is now basically Him and Stephen Miller telling Pete Hegseth to make coffee and throwing spitballs at Marco Rubio.

Democrats say Bondi can’t escape a congressional subpoena scheduled for later this month over her handling of the Epstein files, and will still be expected back in front of lawmakers.

“Pam Bondi and Donald Trump may think her firing gets her out of testifying to the Oversight Committee,” Robert Garcia, the ranking member of the House oversight committee, said in a statement after her firing. “They are wrong – and we look forward to hearing from her under oath.”

Hope he's serious.

If you're making one of those "death knocks on doors in a bloody hotel" memes, Gabbard is next.

Trump polled advisers about replacing Tulsi Gabbard as intelligence chief

@AnarchoNinaWrites

was gonna say, how does firing blanket her testimony? at least if she's AG she can use the "can't comment on active investigations" trick to some degree. As not-AG she may still be bound by some confidentiality measures but fundamentally if Congress wants to know, they gonna find out or hold her in contempt.

@tezoatlipoca @AnarchoNinaWrites
Congress has a history of letting crimes go after dismissal, presumably it's a policy they all agree to in order to save themselves some embarrassment but it's not official (i think, not an expert, etc.)
@AnarchoNinaWrites marco: "I'll laugh too quickly at all the jokes and accept all the spitballs as long as I get to murder everyone in Cuba"

@aud Hogwash, Marco clearly wants to return ALL of Latin America to a pre-Castro state of colonial subjugation. :)

(I kid, I mean about the tone anyway; I really do think this is what Marco means to do.)

@AnarchoNinaWrites ah, silly me; I forget they never want just one set of people colonized...
@AnarchoNinaWrites @aud I don't know how many enlisted Marines there are, but they are going to need <a lot> in Iran, so I guess they'll have to send the proud boys to Cuba.

@AnarchoNinaWrites

I wanna see photos of Marco after the swirly . . .

Funny, coz it's probably true.

@AnarchoNinaWrites why am I 0% surprised that thus far the only people out are women?

terrible, terrible women, to be clear, but. And Noem was just the "you did everything I asked but now people are mad about what I was asking so you're out" scenario, as well.
@aud @AnarchoNinaWrites That was his plan B. The public facing failure of women in top positions.
@aud @AnarchoNinaWrites well, not all of them, I think Dan Bongino was first to go. The guy with the Nazi coat.

@Haste @aud Dan chickened out tho. I think at some point it dawned on him that he could go to prison for some of this shit. I am not aware of any evidence Bongino was actually fired - it might exist, but I haven't seen it. These are firings. And apparently Gabbard is next.

@AnarchoNinaWrites @aud You’re correct that he resigned, but it’s also hard to distinguish because that can be a face saving tactic. Wasn’t Noem technically “reassigned” to some new bullshit role that didn’t exist previously?

I’m not disagreeing with you, it’s just by design kind of hard to tell what’s being pressured out vs quitting voluntarily.

@AnarchoNinaWrites @aud Fingers crossed on Gabbard, I’ll set aside another popcorn-gloat day for her.
@aud @AnarchoNinaWrites
A friend and I were trying to figure out who would be next after Noem. We were guessing Bondi or Patel, and trying to figure out if racism beat sexism. Guess we got our answer.
@AnarchoNinaWrites yeah, she was fired by Trump. Woulda been nice if she could face some actual consequences for all the laws she’s broken in her time as AG.
@sayonaraminasan There's still time, she yet breathes.
@AnarchoNinaWrites She going to be Kristi Noem's new buddy as a shield of the Americas member?
