Origami Burr Puzzle folded by me from 15 squares (3 of which were cut into 2:1 rectangles).

I followed this video https://youtube.com/shorts/HNOWbKqNjfI
but this version has fuller instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNOWbKqNjfI

Some of the origami models in the ‘Origami So Easy’ channel are traditional, but others are by known creators and are not named, so I’m not sure who to credit here

I made a mistake following the short video and the result was two tubes 😆

Four interlocking triangular prisms folded from rectangles cut from four sheets of A4 paper.

A different method from Daniel Kwan’s original, but it shares some of the geometry https://www.flickr.com/photos/8303956@N08/651459788/

I think my method is easier as the struts are pushed into the triangular caps; the original uses Sonobe/Ow-style units which can be awkward if there's not enough space.

How did I get here? The next logical step from three cuboid tubes was to make four tubes intersect. I tried using four triangular prisms in a tetrahedron but the intersecting faces were not appealing. I then tried making four triangular prisms based on the opposite triangles of a cuboctahedron, but again the intersecting faces were not appealing. Rotating the prisms improved the result, and I discovered that shortening the prisms makes a structure like WXYZ https://foldworks.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/wxyz.pdf 😆

The next step would be Six interlocking pentagonal prisms like https://www.flickr.com/photos/8303956@N08/652279270/
