@FlashF1R3 Gotta love and go out of one's way to tolerate mason bees. I have a set of photos 20 yrs+ online of one making a nest in a small coiled spring on my workbench in Andalusia, at the time.

More recently, I've set up varieties of sticks and holes bored for them; mostly ignored. They still prefer those little holes with screws down the bottom of them, holding all sorts of gadgets together, anywhere they can get access to them. And the vents for water tanks when the gauze falls-off the end or perishes.

These guys don’t bother my stuff at all. They just inhabit a small insect house that we put out on the other side of the yard. It’s interesting watching them work.

@FlashF1R3 I think they wandered in to human spaces because the doors were often open for ventilation because of the heat. Didn't have fly screens on them in those days.
