Duke Energy sued for 2014 coal ash spill environmental harm

The federal, North Carolina and Virginia governments want a judge to declare the country's largest electricity company liable for environmental damage from a leak five years ago that left miles of a river shared by the two states coated in hazardous coal ash. Government lawyers on Thursday sought to have Charlotte-based Duke Energy declared responsible for harming fish, birds, amphibians and the bottom of the Dan River.

@cmconseils While it feels good to blame other people like this, I've found it is unproductive. However, there are still clever ways to handle this. Near me, there are trails that have signs "there is no poop fairy!" I.e. clean up after your dog, even though you are out on a nature/hiking trail.

I do wonder how much waste, pollution and trash the mommy-fetishist careless jerks at Duke Energy produces?

I have in no way any objection to the message in this photograph, but the alt text is misleading. The person is not holding a pen but is holding a rachet wrench with which he/she is attaching the sign to a metal post, which can be seen behind the sign in question.
@cmconseils Duke Energy checking those boxes daily.. Well at least in the atmosphere with coal burning and old coal ash dumps in my town.
