@VWDasher Actually, the story of 'The Dish' in Parkes is fictionalised history.

The first steps on the moon were received by the Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station not far from Canberra.

That great scene in The Dish when the generator failed because they forgot to fill the tank and lost tracking, but realised they only had to point at the moon 🙂
