Passend zur #Artemis Mond Mission schaue ich mir heute Abend mal wieder den australischen Film "The Dish" an, der sich um das #Radioteleskop in #Parkes während der Mondlandung dreht. Tolle Charaktere, alles nett gemacht... Kann man immer mal wieder schauen. Hab ich schon ewig in meiner Sammlung. #TheDish #Apollo11
kinda glad the #silly wheels haven't entirely come off

My first visit to Parkes, home of Australia's famous radio telescope (AKA The Dish) and to an annual Elvis Festival, is also home to a car museum, an Elvis memorabilia exhibition owned by a former Wiggle, some lovely architecture, the first vertical grain silos built by the Commonwealth and, yesterday, the inaugural Goodness Gravel Parkes event (what I was here for).
The Dish: Fact vs fiction
The Dish is an Aussie classic, set at Murriyang, a.k.a the Parkes radio telescope. Most of the film is based on fact, but what was added for the sake of a (rollicking) good yarn?
