Typically skulky, but there were two calling back and forth on our recent walk. This one popped up and posed for a bit.

Nice! Are they a fairly regular bird for you?
@CTGT Yes, they’re around quite a bit. They sometimes nest in the entrance to the culvert on the brook. They also like to dart around our woodpiles looking like little mice. I’m terrible at remembering birdcalls so it always takes me a little time to tell the difference between them and the Louisiana Waterthrush, which are regulars as well. 🤭
They're pretty common around here as well, we hear them frequently but it's usually tough to lay eyes on them.
